Process Design Engineer

DUTIES: Develop new manufacturing processes or modify existing ones for our next generation sensor platforms based on Silicon Strain Gauge sensing technology. Use 3D CAD Solidworks to review sensor Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and tooling strategy. Set up sample lines and process development equipment to optimize process and define process boundaries using Design of Experiments (DOE). Responsible for providing the overall process design and suggesting measures to improve product DFM. This includes the development of new equipment and process flows as well as developing cost estimates for labor and capital. Work closely with Design Engineers, Equipment vendors, Program Managers, Marketing, and Quality Engineers to support the development of our electromechanical sensor products. Will also provide ongoing sustaining support to production lines at our global Make sites as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or foreign equivalent, and 3 years of experience as a Process or Design Engineer in Electromechanical or Electronics industry. Experience to include: 1 year experience applying DFM principles; 1 year experience using 3D CAD software Solidworks; and 6 months experience defining and running DOE.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or foreign equivalent, and 1 year of experience as a Process or Design Engineer in the Electromechanical or Electronics Industry or 6 credit research thesis in electronics manufacturing. Experience to include: 1 year experience applying DFM principles or 3 credit course work in DFM; 1 year experience using 3D CAD software Solidworks; and 6 months experience defining and running DOE.

OTHER: Job site: 529 Pleasant Street, Attleboro, MA 02703; 40 hours/week. 15%-20% domestic and international travel required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
