Senior Director Electrical Protection and Power Controls

Located at Sensata Technology's US Headquarters in Attleboro Massachusetts, this position has full P&L responsibility for our $150M+ Electrical Protection and Power Controls Business and will report directly to our Senior Vice President. The direct reports to this position include sales, inside sales, marketing/product management, project management, and engineering across both the Americas and Europe. Indirect reports to this position include Customer Service and Operations. The product technologies include Electrical Protection and circuit breakers which are designed into mission critical applications in the White Goods, HVAC, Industrial, Datacom, Telecom, and Defense markets.
The ideal candidate of this high impact business will bring experience in negotiation with large customers (above $20m) along with a strong understanding of operations, cost, and margin improvement. Responsibilities include attainment of financial goals and top line growth in line with our Electrification Megatrend opportunities. They will also be responsible for developing short- and long-term strategic plans for advancing the company's Electrical Protection and Power Control business to meet customer On-time Delivery and Quality requirements; while achieving margin expansions through product cost reductions and pricing optimization. This is a highly visible position and is a critical member of the Control Solutions Leadership team.
Major Responsibilities:
Drive sales and revenue growth with margin expansion
Lead team of direct reports and coordinate strategy with the Asia region
Deliver the financial plan and business objectives
Maintain existing and drive new globally aligned strategies to meet financial and business objectives
Work closely with operations to ensure customer on time delivery and quality
Identify strategic and logical extensions of the business through both current technologies and M&A in order to meet Sensata's long term profit and growth targets
Analyze and study the current business in order to protect and maintain leading positions. At the same time, create and develop new business opportunities in the regions resulting in market share growth
Develop key account management programs, and gain strong relationships with management at strategic customers
Work closely with customers and communicate frequently to achieve the highest level of satisfaction
Responsible for monthly financial performance as well as five year plan to be presented annually
Work closely with Engineering Director to drive product quality initiatives and design driven cost reduction in the engineering portfolio
Optimize pricing while creating and maintaining value propositions for our product line
Required Experience:
A strong business leader, who has 10+ years of P&L management experience and has had three of the most recent years with $100m+ responsibility
Demonstrated experience setting and achieving goals and targets, and managing all commercial activities as well as having extensive interaction with operations; have the ability to improving quality and manage overall costs and deliver strong growth
An inspiring leader who can motivate, lead and attract employees; who is committed to coaching, training and developing people; Ability to manage across cultures
A strategic thinker, who has good business insight, a strong executor, and a passion and ability for driving strong business growth
Has demonstrated experience working with multinational companies, excels at working in a matrixed organization, and ideally have international exposure
Able to build relationships with key people globally, both internally and externally as well as influence key decision makers
Bachelor degree in engineering required; MBA preferred

Desired Skills & Experience
Undergraduate degree with Engineering focus, MBA preferred
At least 10 years of experience of P&L management. Need at least three of the most recent years with 100m+ responsibility.
Proven ability to develop strong business partnerships, operate in a strategic capacity, lead through influence and drive impact in a cross functional environment
Highly effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to execute across several concurrent, high-exposure deliverables
Able to analyze large sets of data to extract key themes to turn them into actionable insights for functional leaders
Well-developed written and oral communications skills across all levels of management & executive staff
Strong proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
