Engineering Technician

Sensata is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Industrial Solutions global engineering team. This individual will work directly with design engineers in support of the design and development of industrial pressure sensors, pressure switches and thermal products. This technician position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:
Support design engineers with new product design and development and core products
Build prototype devices for testing and for customer samples
Perform test set up and data collection, statistically analyze and summarize engineering data collected from experiments and durability testing
Assist with design documentation development
Job Requirements:
AS Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent 2-yr Associate's degree required.
2-5 years of engineering experience in a high growth, global and innovative environment
Analytic and effective problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record of technical performance
Demonstrated ability to engage in both creative and systemic thinking
10% domestic & international travel may be required
The job will require rapid technical learning ability and strong mechanical build and testing talents as the work requires the responsibility for substantially complex electro-mechanical product lines with many product types. A working knowledge of and ability to interpret agency standards (UL, IEC, MIL, etc.) is necessary. The job requires both individual and team interaction in meeting policy deployment goals where interaction with other design technicians and engineers will be interlaced with interaction with production line personnel, manufacturing engineers, marketing engineers and purchasing personnel. Work environment is demanding, and involves analytical thinking and design with hands on experimentation and durability testing. Other special work environments include pressure testing, welding and machining. Dynamic organization with rapidly changing business and technical priorities where work assignments are based on team efforts and individuals have the ability to move from one project to another while maintaining an overall sense of business goals inside of an ISO quality environment.
Additional Skills:
Broad range of computer usage skills (Excel, Word, SolidWorks etc.)
Machining skills on a range of machine shop tools (drills, presses, lathes, etc.)
Welding experience and general automotive and/or mechanical experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
