We currently have a need for a Teller in our Attleboro Office. The Office is located at 607 Pleasant Street Attleboro, MA 02703.
This position starts at 20hours per week. However, preferred candidates can work a variety of days/times.
Flexibility with branch location is also preferred.
Receives and pays out money, and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties.
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, ensures customer has account and examines checks for endorsement. Makes the decision to pay the check within preset dollar limits and HarborOne policies and procedures.
Cashes checks and pays out money accurately after verification of signatures and customer balances.
Accepts customer loan, mortgage and safe deposit box payments. Posts appropriate payment type (principle vs interest payments).
Enters customer transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
Places floats on checks cashed within preset guidelines and HarborOne policies and procedures.
Issues money orders, Treasurer's checks, handles coin machine slips and assesses appropriate fee.
Consistently adheres to service standards and deliver service excellence to customers at all times.
Orders daily supply of cash from the vault ensuring drawer is maintained within set cash limits. Counts incoming cash for accuracy.
Balances by counting currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer as well as verifying to computer totals.
Attend staff meetings regularly and work overtime as needed.
Refer products to existing and new members to assist with branch and individual goals.
Maintains a knowledge of HarborOne Bank products to identify customer needs.
Approaches customers with information regarding our products, tellers must meet standards for the referral program and develop referrals for CSR.
Maintain teller balancing record in compliance with HarborOne Bank standards.
Scans teller work and checks daily.
Perform all duties professionally and within the Bank's quality service standards, including maintaining customer confidentiality.
Consistently meet monthly performance goals.
COMPLIANCE: Maintain an excellent understanding of all applicable regulations and laws relating to day to day duties including but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending and Regulation E.
Expected to be up to date on all requirements for annual compliance testing requirements. Must be knowledgeable and able to effectively apply this knowledge for day to day activities and responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic typing and keyboard skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
