Metallography Laboratory Technician
We have an immediate opening for a Metallography Laboratory Technician for our Technical Service Laboratory located in Attleboro, MA.
In this role, the candidate will work with the lab supervisor, internal engineering customers and other team members in a dynamic environment to help solve technical problems on a wide variety of highly engineered sensors and controls products.
They will support research and development, failure analysis and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:
Metallographic analyses Sample preparation using cold and hot mount techniques Dicing, grinding and polishing Optical imaging Grain size measurements Joining method evaluations Micro-hardness measurements Rockwell hardness measurements Plating thickness measurements with XRF and optical microscopy Instron testing of materials for tensile, yield and elongation Operation of the CT X-Ray imager Support in the surface analysis laboratory such as sample preparation and operation of SEM-EDX equipmentJob Requirements:
Associates degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred or applicable technical expertise.
Military Veterans encouraged to apply.
2-5 years of work experience in a related field preferred.
