Quick Apply Full-time Part-time 16 hours ago Full Job Description Universal Member Service Representative Assists in building valued financial relationships with Goldmark Federal Credit Union members by actively recommending and cross-selling products and services that best meet our members' financial needs while providing outstanding professional service and answering all member inquiries.
Participates in member services functions throughout the relationship model, from establishing relationship, through meeting needs, and up to, and including some loan processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Provides exceptional and knowledgeable member service with a focus on the strategic plan.
2.
Supports the teller staff in all areas of service, operations, sales referral and member service.
Performs teller functions daily.
3.
Helps members resolve problems and brings escalated issues to President/Manager.
4.
Originates and closes equity and consumer loan products.
Serves as backup to Loan Officer.
5.
Proactively cross sells products and services while identifying the needs of the member.
Participates in sales campaigns and community outreach events.
6.
Demonstrates a commitment to learn new products and services and keeps updated on all new operational technologies.
7.
Proactively seeks opportunities to increase membership by identifying the needs of the communities we serve.
8.
Effectively communicates with subordinates, co-workers, and supervisor.
9.
Serves customers by completing account transactions.
Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, opening accounts, and completing mobile deposit and mail deposits.

Maintains ATM by adding cashing, daily balancing, maintaining supplies, setting up ATM and Debit Cards, as well as reports, corresponding with ATM processors and ensuring maintenance of equipment.

As a Universal Member Service Representative of the member service team, answers the phone, assists members, participates in projects in other areas of the credit union, provides general information to members regarding all credit union products and services or regarding the credit union' policies to new members or potential members who inquire.
Assists management team to allow them to meet with members, auditors, vendors, and Board members either in-person, on the phone or virtually.
Provide support for management when it is their responsibility to attend meetings outside of the Credit union or they are absent.
Develops and maintains a general knowledge base of credit union products, services, and programs.

Maintains knowledge of credit union services, programs, processes and strategic plans.
Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements.
13.
Works toward achieving credit union goals and strategic plan.
14.
Performs other functions as directed.
15.
Role models sales behaviors required by staff, ensures staff achieves sales goals and recommends incentive programs to keep the staff motivated.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
-Equivalent to a High School education.
-Teller experience desirable.
-Strong ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
Experience:
-One to two years of experience in a financial institution, providing high-level member service.
-Previous banking or credit union cross selling or retail sales experience required.
-Strong analytical skills, organized, efficient and detailed oriented.
-Ability to work well with subordinates, coworkers, and supervisors.
-Work history of being results oriented, proactive and possessing the ability to role model behaviors required by staff.
-Experience with loan processing is a plus OTHER KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:
-Must be computer literate and possess working knowledge of teller functions.
-Must have a basic knowledge of the impact on workflow, operations, and finances -Must possess good analytical, problem solving, and strong customer services skills -Understanding of services offered by financial institutions INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs independently within credit union policies and practices.
Refers specific complex problems to supervisor where clarification of departmental policies and procedures may be required.
